The GREAT USA Coalition (Global Recreation, Events, and Tourism USA) submitted formal comments to the Department of Homeland Security urging DHS to clarify proposed expansions to information collection under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP), including new social media disclosure requirements.

"The longest government shutdown in American history is finally over and not a moment too soon. With the U.S. about to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup and numerous other major events, such as the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January 2026, the nation needs to ensure that travel to and within the U.S. is welcoming, efficient and safe. Policy disagreements over issues unrelated to travel should never compromise the security and safety of our travel systems.

Global Recreation, Events, and Tourism USA Coalition (GREAT USA) held its first official meeting with the White House Special Events Task Force and the White House Office of Public Liaison to discuss preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and other major international events.
