GREAT USA Coalition Celebrates Team USA's Historic Medal Haul as the World Looks to America Hosting the World Cup

Washington, D.C. — The GREAT USA Coalition celebrates Team USA’s historic performance at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games, where American athletes won 33 medals, including a record-setting 12 golds, the most gold medals ever in a single Winter Games by Team USA.

GREAT USA congratulates the organizers of the Milan-Cortina Games for hosting a successful, inspiring Olympic celebration that once again brought the world together through sport.

As the Olympic flame passes forward, the United States is prepared to take center stage. America, along with our Canadian and Mexican neighbors, will host the 2026 FIFA World Cup and then welcome the world again for the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. These events will draw millions of international visitors, energize host communities, and highlight America’s capacity to deliver world-class, welcoming global experiences.
